ADL SCORM Conformance Test Suite 1.3

ADL SCORM Conformance Test Suite (CTS) is the official toolset from the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative for verifying that learning management systems (LMSs) and e‑learning content comply with the SCORM specifications. Supporting SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004, the suite automates checks for content packaging and metadata (including manifest validation), run‑time communication with the LMS (API calls and data model), and—for SCORM 2004—sequencing and navigation behavior. It provides reference test packages, guided test procedures, detailed logs, and human‑readable reports to help vendors, content developers, and QA teams diagnose interoperability issues early and document conformance. By validating both content and platforms against a consistent set of tests, the ADL SCORM Conformance Test Suite reduces integration risk, promotes plug‑and‑play interoperability across SCORM‑compliant products, and improves the reliability of learning experiences. Developed and maintained by the ADL Initiative, a U.S. Department of Defense program.
